Onbuhimos are a carrier without a waistband. They are designed for back carries only. This is a great option for those who want to babywear throughout pregnancy or for those who want an easy, light option for travel or for quick ups.
Your baby will be ready for a back carry once they are strong enough to get themselves into a seated position. We love a back carry as an alternative to outwards facing as it's better for both baby and wearer.

The safety and comfort of you and your baby is our top priority.
This is why we only recommend carriers that follow all the TICKS guidelines as well as promote optimal positioning of baby's spine and hips.
We do not endorse the use of carriers that allow the baby to lie horizontally across the wearers body - your baby should always be in an upright position and fully supported to stop baby slumping, this is especially important when choosing a newborn carrier.
You should always be able to see your baby's nose and mouth to monitor their breathing. Remember to check in with bubs regularly.
We also recommend following baby carrier manufacturer guidelines.
